Rosacea Triggers Weather - Weather and Climate can have a huge affect on your Rosacea.
Moving from hot outdoor weather to an airconditioned building and vice versa, moving from a cold, chilly day to a warm heated room can both cause a red face flare up. A cold, wintry wind will cause facial flushing in most people.
As usual, all Rosaceans are different - some can cope with the heat, others don't mind the cold. You need to identify your particular situation, and then find a way to control it.
Hot weather situations - if you can't remove yourself from the heat, you need to find a way to cope with the situation. Drinking lots of cold drinks (water is best), applying cold towels, sucking or melting ice blocks onto the face, spraying or splashing cold water onto the face - are some ways to keep the face cool. And wear a large hat!
Cold weather situations - I spend quite a lot of time playing golf and sometimes you can tee off in reasonable weather conditions and two hours later you could be in icy cold driving wind and rain (who does this for fun?). And then it's a hot shower and a couple of beers in a warm clubhouse = a huge flare up.
Wearing a moisturiser can help to protect your skin - and of course, a strong sunblock in all weather conditions. You can also physically protect your face by wrapping a scarf around your head or wearing a ski mask.
If you are convinced that your Rosacea is caused by your current weather and climate, you might want to consider moving to a climate that would better suit your condition - radical, but if it helps ....
