Rosacea Triggers Food - Certain foods and drinks will cause a flushing episode but we are all different and what affects one may not affect the next Rosacean. You should keep a careful note of the foods and drinks that cause your flushing and try and avoid them.
When my Rosacea was at it's worst, I found that I had to avoid all foods and drinks that caused my flushing, but now that I have my red face under control (with Rosacea Relief Cream), I find that I only have small responses to those same foods.
In the past, my flushing was caused by coffee, tea, alcohol, dairy products, chocolate, wheat, yeast, hot spicy foods - those were the main culprits.
Today, I have cut out tea, coffee, chocolate and dairy. I try to avoid wheat - not very easy to do - and I still regularly drink alcohol and eat spicy Thai foods. There was a time when I would have a severe flushing episode after eating chilli, but it doesn't affect me like that anymore.
